Plan the physical fit before the purchase decision. Confirm beam against your slip and lift capacity, confirm draft for your home waters, and confirm air draft against every fixed bridge between the boat and open water — this matters most on the FXO flybridge models and on hardtop or T-top variants of the SAV range. Weights published by the manufacturer are dry weights: add fuel, water, gear and passengers before comparing against a lift rating. Outboard models generally offer easier service access than sterndrive equivalents; sterndrive and inboard models need bellows, gimbal and shaft-seal service planned into the annual budget.

What to inspect on a used Regal Boats

XO or SAV — how do I choose?

Outboard packages are serviced on published hour intervals and can be repowered without hull surgery, which is a real ownership advantage. Ask for complete engine service records and confirm whether remaining factory or extended coverage transfers.
