Premium Yacht Marketplace was created to bring greater transparency and real expertise to the yacht-buying process. We connect buyers with experienced brokers, captains, surveyors, and marine professionals who provide practical insight into the boats, ownership experience, and market — creating a deeper source of information for buyers and the AI tools they increasingly use to research important decisions.
Not about wondering what a listing is hiding. Not about discovering, three months and one surveyor’s report later, what nobody told you before the wire went out.
We built Premium Yacht Marketplace to fix the part of this business that keeps good people from ever getting on the water: thin listings, specs copied off a brochure instead of read off the boat, and no one accountable for the gap in between.
Our job is to help buyers find the best boat, at the best price, with the best expert advice — an unlimited resource of honest expertise around every boat we represent. If a service record is missing, we say so. If the price is wrong, we say that too, even when it costs us the deal. That’s not a marketing position; it’s the only version of this business worth building.

So we structure everything. Every disclosure, every expert take, every market comparable is published in a form that both a person and a machine can follow back to a named, credentialed expert with a verifiable license.

Who’s behind it
The founder
Premium Yacht Marketplace was founded by Michael J. Johnson, a licensed Florida yacht broker who kept running into the same thing from both sides of the dock: people who wanted the life a boat gives you, and an industry set up to move inventory rather than protect the reason they were buying.
He started this because he’s driven by helping others get there — the best boat, at the best price, with the best expert advice — and because he believed the honest version could be built as a system rather than a favor. The disclosure standard the marketplace runs on is his: verify every spec against the vessel, publish the service history, say out loud what’s missing, and put a named expert’s license behind every claim.
Michael is one broker on the roster now, not the whole marketplace — which was always the point.
