Regal introduced the 38 SAV for the 2020 model year as a larger sibling to the 33 SAV and it quickly became the brand's best-known outboard boat. The concept is a center-console footprint with yacht-level finish: a raised command deck with four high-back seats (the outer pair swivel aft), a cockpit galley with grill and refrigeration, wraparound bow seating, and a cabin that actually works for a weekend rather than a place to stow tackle.
Dimensions are 38 ft 10 in LOA on early boats (about 39 ft 8 in once the extended platform arrived), an 11 ft 11 in beam, an 18-degree deadrise and roughly 18,000–18,800 lb dry. Fuel is 340–350 gallons depending on year. Doors on both sides of the cockpit, a walkable swim platform between the outboards and a Yacht Certified rating make it as easy to board from the water as from a dock.

Command deck. Raised helm with four high-back bucket seats; the outer two rotate aft to face the cockpit galley. The step-up gives visibility and cabin headroom but adds a step down into the cockpit.

Production history
Regal launched the 33 SAV in 2018 as its first 'Sport Activity Vessel' and followed with the 38 SAV for the 2020 model year, positioning it as a do-it-all outboard day-yacht rather than a center console. Early production carried triple Yamaha F300s with Optimus joystick as an option. By the 2022 model year the boat had picked up an extended swim platform (LOA moving from 38 ft 10 in to roughly 39 ft 8 in), revised fuel capacity and a higher horsepower ceiling; triple 350s and later 400-class outboards followed. The 38 SAV sits below the 43 SAV and 50 SAV that Regal added to the line afterward.
